These are pictures from Tinsley Mortimer’s new autumn/winter Japanese ad campaign for Samantha Thavasa, which were shot at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City. She’s wearing clothes from her Riccimie by Tinsley Mortimer line and carrying bags from her own handbag line for Samantha Thavasa. Tinsley is currently hard at work designing her dual spring collections. The lifestyle entrepreneur just finished a photoshoot for O, The Oprah Magazine.
In the first photograph, Tinsley is carrying the “Lily” clutch, which is named after her close friend, Palm Beach socialite Lily Maddock. Lily and her husband, Locke, are happily expecting their first child in March of next year.

The Young Lions of the New York Public Library honored literary icons Edward Albee, Ashley Bryan, Nora Ephron, and Salman Rushie at their annual Library Lions gala. Dinner was served in the library’s majestic main reading room after a cocktail hour in Astor Hall. The Young Lions, which counts Arden Wohl, Andrea Olshan, and Vogue’s Stephanie LaCava as members, also hosted their yearly dance party later in the evening in the Celeste Bartos Forum.

It was all treats for the social set on Halloween. Lithe leopard Eugenie Niarchos and her elder brother, construction worker Stavros Niarchos, held court at the Rose Bar of the Gramercy Park Hotel. French maid Julia Restoin Roitfeld was on the arm of her Swedish boyfriend, Magnus Berger, the entire evening while Richard Prince nurse Fabiola Beracasa, behind a custom Louis Vuitton face mask, circulated the room with her genie boyfriend, Jason Beckman. Sailor Jules Kirby arrived in Manhattan to a party hosted by Lydia Hearst and attended Heidi Klum’s Halloween celebration at 1 Oak with Seagram heiress Vanessa Bronfman and Moises de la Renta, the ex-boyfriend of nurse Genevieve Jones. Dark angel Brooke Geahan of the Accompanied Literary Society hosted her own party at Rendezvous at Bagatelle, where she showcased a lost manuscript of Edgar Allen Poe; Dabney Mercer arrived as a pirate and Arden Wohl spent the night there with her close friends, the downtown couple of artist Nate Lowman and actress Mary-Kate Olsen, who played the moon to Kyle Miller’s sun.

While at Princeton studying anthropology, model and “First Niece” Lauren Bush became the student spokesperson for the United Nations’ World Food Program. In 2006, she created a line of burlap totes to raise funds for the World Food Program’s School Feeding Program. Thus far, the FEED Projects bag program has raised almost $5 million for children’s hunger relief.
At the Ralph Lauren Rugby store near Union Square, the company toasted Lauren for her efforts on behalf of her FEED Foundation and launched the Match rugby shirt, proceeds of which will benefit the organization’s new initiative for social action. Lauren’s FEED bags were sold at Rugby stores throughout the nation over the summer season. Lauren is also the girlfriend of David Lauren, son of Ralph.
This past September 11, she launched her first ready-to-wear collection of environmentally sustainable clothing. She named it Lauren Pierce, which are her first and middle names.

And architect Zaha Hadid answered. Karl Lagerfeld’s house of Chanel commissioned the Iran-born Briton to build a futuristic traveling museum to showcase artwork inspired by Chanel’s classic contribution to fashion, the quilted bag. Hadid’s Mobile Art pavilion took two weeks to be assembled in Central Park’s Rumsey Playfield and was unveiled to the great pleasure of Karl’s international fans, including Russian oil heiress Dasha Zhukova and French fashion royal Julia Restoin Roitfeld. Socialite Fabiola Beracasa, who once worked for Karl in Paris as a teenager, arrived with Tallulah Ormsby-Gore, the daughter of the iconic designer’s muse, Lady Amanda Harlech. Hercules and Love Affair played a show for the Kaiser’s attendants.
