Art dealer Amy Greenspon, Fred & Associates executive Jen Brill, and Dior Beauty DJ Harley Viera Newton gathered at the Soho Mews on Broadway to honor Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough on the occasion of the launch of A Magazine Curated by Proenza Schouler. The two designers are guest editors of the the ninth edition of the Belgian, bi-annual A Magazine, which had been previously “curated” by Martin Margiela, Yohji Yamamoto, and Kris Van Assche of Dior Homme.

The Art Production Fund’s Doreen Remen, Yvonne Force Villareal, and Casey Fremont are residents and partners of the Soho Mews. In this role, they are collaborating with Deitch Projects to produce the Wooster Wall, a public artwork on Wooster Street, as well as develop the private art collection of the Mews building. Five weeks ago, they presented paintings by Greek impresario Milton Manetas at the Venice Biennale.

Interview contributing editor Fabiola Beracasa is in the midst of developing and producing an unscripted television show with Fremantle Media. The jet-setting socialite, as a host, will travel throughout the world in search of provincial and exotic fashion, in a similar vein to chef Anthony Bourdain’s “No Reservations.” She is formally signed with William Morris Endeavor.

I hope Fabiola gets a UK distribution/syndication deal. Would love to watch her programme.

Such a fan of Proenza Schouler here. Will have to pick up “A Magazine.” Curious to see how they would produce.

9. Calloway - July 15, 2009

These “in- development shows” never see the light of day, unless they are of the cheesy/exploitative “Housewives” variety. Some “tipster” always lets it out about all these in development projects because that’s the only way anyone else will know these projects exist, since they will never air. It’s just a tactic to get their names in the press yet another day.

Good luck Fabiola, I hope you get the TV gig…can’t wait to see you on the small screen. Although if you wanted to conquer the big screen, I’m sure you could make it happen…
