Jewelry entrepreneur Ivanka Trump hosted a cocktail party in honor of Visual Therapy fashion stylists Joe Lupo and Jesse Garza at the Madison Avenue flagship of J. Mendel on the celebration of the duo’s new book, “Life in Color.” Ivanka, clad in a dress by that designer and a diamond tassel necklace from her Ivanka Trump Collection, welcomed guests there, including her friends Dominique Punnett and Helena Khazanova. Ivanka is no stranger to Gilles Mendel; she wore his designs (and memorably, a nine-carat diamond headpiece from her own jewelry Collection) to the Costume Institute gala last year. The real estate heiress and executive is back in the United States after having spent the holidays exploring the Inca ruins of Machu Picchu in Peru.

Ivanka is so gorgeous… I love her!
i really like that ivanka eschewed the idea of somewhere tropical like mustique in favour of machu picchu… where you go on vacation says so much about you. i think that she’s not only pretty but has a great head on her shoulders. much more of her, please!

Ivanka’s pose always looks so contrived with the turned ankle. Nothing natural about it.
uesider: Don’t you think that, if you are having your photo taken, you are posing? Of course you are. “Natural” shots are taken spontaneously, not with the subject looking at the camera.
A turned ankle, to my taste at least, is much better than the now over-done and badly-copied crossed leg pose or, much worse, that lovely pose where the girls look as if they are relieving themselves on a fire hydrant – one leg out and bent at the knee. Ugh.
I don’t think Ivanka is particularly pretty – but she is beautiful. She takes care of herself, always looks polished, has good taste, and is philanthropic. Good for her.
Ivanka looks like she lost quite a bit of weight! The last time she was on here, if I remember correctly, was for the Chabad charity post and she looked like she weighed more back then. Either way, I like this look on her… Not chubby by any means but not skeletal. It suits her well!
She’s a very good role model for all the Park Avenue Peerage girls out there… none of you have to follow Paris Hilton’s path and become what she has! You can take advantage of your situation, get the best education out there, work for Daddy, and still have the respect and admiration of your peers and onlookers, like Ivanka has!
