Socialite Amanda Hearst brought members of the Kennedy and Bush clans together for her Riverkeeper winter fundraiser. Amanda, as founder of the junior council of Riverkeeper and a director of the organization’s board, works with Bobby Kennedy’s father, the environmental group’s chief prosecuting attorney Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Model Lauren Bush once posed with Amanda for the summer covers of Hamptons in 2004 and the duo recently went away with their families for a vacation on the island of Tortola.
The publishing heiress and her friend, Luigi Tadini, hosted the event at the Ralph Lauren boutique in Soho, with a percentage of the night’s purchases donated to Riverkeeper. The two of them styled all of the mannequins in the store for the occasion and, with other members of the group’s junior council, made gift picks to guide prospective buyers, including Serena Merriman and Vogue’s Serena Nikkhah. Ever the fashionista, Amanda’s Ralph Lauren winter selections for men were a striped long-sleeved rugby and the label’s flannel Whitefield shirt, while Luigi recommended sterling silver cufflinks.

.. I think that in the shallow worlds of society and fashion, that is the highest compliment. It’s very true about her. She is really pretty.

the best word to describe amanda is “perfect.” she has never looked anything less than ideal. i’ve learned to appreciate lauren bush. the quintessential all-american girl… that uses every photo opportunity to promote her fantastic charity. i really love that.

Amanda is a living Malibu Barbie doll. I love that dress on her and I love her simple pumps. She looks so great!
that dress would easily render any wearer incapable of expressing style (it’s so complex!)… but amanda looks just about perfect in it. an ideal example of “making the dress” and not letting it make you!
Love the two Serenas!! Nikkhah has a really cute face and Serena has a wonderful figure (and a forward style). Oh, and Amanda is seriously perfect. This girl can never commit a wrong!
the top half of the dress is ok… but the bottom… scary. its not a very good look overall for her. Luigi is hot!!!!!
Amanda and Lauren both look great! That dress would look terrible on anyone but Amanda, she pulls it off beautifully. And I love Lauren’s FEED bag, she’s very devoted to her cause.
