The New York City Ballet opened their new season with Peter Martins-choreographed performances set to Duke Ellington, Ray Charles, and Wynton Marsalis, featuring singers from the New York City Opera and musical accompaniment by the Juilliard Jazz Orchestra. This was the company’s inaugural performance in the freshly renamed David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center, which was previously known as the New York State Theater.
After the urban-inspired medley, patrons were treated to a dinner of wild mushroom ravioli, roasted Pacific halibut, and a pomegranate ice cream dessert. Designer Rachel Roy and model Dree Hemingway, the great-granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway, were greeted warmly by fashion icon Valentino Garavani upon sight in the venue’s promenade.
Lisa Falcone, the wife of billionaire hedge fund executive Phil Falcone, attended the gala supper with her friends, singer Alicia Keys and personal stylist Zaldy. Lisa was recently installed as a director of the Ballets’ board.

I am begrudgingly admitting that Zani’s new cut and color are flattering on her, although I will always miss her brief flirtation with bangs (I just thought they suited her perfectly). Love that crazy dress on Lisa.
Rachel has a really pretty face. Lisa has some mad Madonna arms going there. I like Zani’s look but she’s still too thin IMO.
Year, Zani is really a bit too thin but she looks so beautiful! I love the dress too! Which designer is it?

Zani isn’t filling out that dress & her hair is limp! Eat a sandwhich, woman! She looks good, but 10 pounds and a some hair effort would have taken her to the next level.
