Fashion designers Tory Burch and Georgina Chapman shone on the red carpet at the opening night gala of the Metropolitan Opera. Gossip Girl actress Taylor Momsen arrived in a dress by Marchesa; this past Fashion Week, Georgina’s Hollywood-beloved label was eyed by the chairman of LVMH himself. Julie Macklowe, a portfolio manager at Sigma Capital and one of Vogue’s summer “It” Girls, also attended to watch and listen to singer Renée Fleming reprise three of her most memorable roles on stage.

I was beginning to wonder when Julie would make an appearance.
Loved her spread in Elle this month… her shoe closet to die for..
Odd that she and Tory as in the same post.. Obviously Billy likes smart and successful women.. hedge fund manager.. very impressive.
Love her shoes.. definitely a twist on the staid evening gown..
Kinda tired of the Marchesa look.. the billowy Grecian look is tiring.
Where is LD.. haven’t seen her here for a while.. loving the new post wedding look.
Does Tory ever have a different expression? It is almost like she is her own clone.
The dress Tori’s wearing looked better on Jennifer Hudson.

Everyone looks beautiful. Gorgeous dresses, perfect hair. Love those fierce shoes on Julie.
Tory is perfection, and what do you expect her to do when she poses for pictures, UESgirl, stick her tongue out? She’s smiling!! Of course it will be the same every time.
UESgirl – it makes her look frumpy (or like she put it together by tying together some curtains)

Taylor’s dress is beautiful, but sadly, her hair and make-up dont blend well with it.

Georgina looks amazing but I have no respect for her selling out to marry Harvey. Ew. She still has to sleep with him. All I can think of is Fat Bastard.
