Crown Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece gave birth to her fifth child, a son, one day before her thirteenth wedding anniversary with her husband, Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece. This is the couple’s first child child that was born in Los Angeles; three of their childreen were born in New York while another was born in London, the city where Pavlos and Marie-Chantal have made their permanent residence.

The baby was welcomed into the world at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Both of Marie-Chantal’s sisters, Pia Getty and Alexandra von Furstenberg, are based in Los Angeles. The Greek Royal Family typically spends every summer season at their holiday estate in Port Heli, south of Athens.

The little prince’s name is yet to be revealed. This is the ninth grandchild for King Constantine II and Queen Anne-Marie of the Hellenes and the eleventh for Robert and Chantal Miller.

The Hellenic Republic abolished the monarchy in 1974 but the Greek Royal Family continue to use their European titles.

1. Davina - July 7, 2008

Aww, congrats to the Royals! I have always loved the Millers, esp. Marie Chantal. I wonder if the child is blonde like the other ones?

2. 10021 - July 7, 2008

Pavlos is handsome. The little girl looks exactly like Chantal Miller. Anyway, that is such good news for Marie-Chantal and the Greek Royals so congrats and kudos!! :)

3. Lilly - July 7, 2008

Ah, Marie-Chantal, the famous “Royal Babymaker.” Deserves the nickname! Four boys and a girl… I can hardly handle one boy, haha, and I just had him! The kids are all so cute but MC and P are lookers (not compared to models/actors but to the rest of “society”) so no surprise there! Kudos to the Royals!

4. princesse - July 7, 2008

mc is favorite miller, most beautiful and “diplomatic” she is middle daughter after all… all of us are like that!

5. b.SL - July 7, 2008

Still making children after 13 years of marriage! That’s beautiful!

6. Genevieve - July 7, 2008

What a beautiful family! MC is such a class act. She looks fantastic after 5 kids, wish there were more pictures of her.

7. chicfromparis - July 7, 2008

Wonder why they decided to keep using their titles…………

8. Dalton Doll - July 7, 2008

Smart post title. In the Brown U phone book, all the royals are listed with the last name “Of Greece.”

Marie-Chantal rocks. I love her style. And what a beautiful family!

9. angelina - July 7, 2008

We need more stories regarding the Miller sisters. Real class acts, not like what we have to put up with today (Byrdie Bell, Tinsely Mortimer, Fabiola - class acts - what a joke!!!!!!).

10. Socialite Dreams - July 7, 2008

they look nice. She looks wonderful after so many children!

11. Christine - July 7, 2008

I wonder why this child was born in Los Angeles? MC has never lived there.

12. gg - July 7, 2008

Boring… next post please

13. Rchic - July 7, 2008

now they have to take these photos all over again.
Bummer.

14. Hadley - July 7, 2008

I love the Greek Royals. If I were going to be a princess, I would want to be one like MC. No “official” royal duties or a country’s press to compete with/against… a title and invitations to every glamorous event known to man. That’s the way to be Royal!

15. Still A Lady - July 7, 2008

Oh goodie… more babies!

16. Parker - July 7, 2008

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Millers, especially MC. I have followed them since I was in college and subscribed to an obsessive amount of fashion mags. Pia is in L.A. now?? Thought she too was in London.

17. Jeannie - July 7, 2008

Is Pia still married to Chris?

18. emma - July 7, 2008

so sad about what happened to Alex and Alex… they were too cute. she’s my fave miller sis, but mc comes in second.

19. elle - July 7, 2008

Thank GOD that we have a non-controversial post, finally! So cute!

20. Christine - July 7, 2008

Pia and Chris divorced in 2005, right after she gave birth to their 4th child. When did she move to L.A.? She used to split her time between San Francisco, New York, and Hong Kong.

21. Londoner - July 7, 2008

MC surely did make an heir and about three spares, just in case…! The “of Greeces” will have a wonderful legacy. Pia and Alexandra both have homes in Malibu, to be close to one another, and that is probably why MC had her kid in LA to be close to both of her sisters. I love, love MC. Has the most chic style of the three and knows how to be a political and society wife… and mother of now five kids! A star!

22. Marisa - July 7, 2008

so wait, was she pregnant in these pictures?? sure doesn’t look like it to me, unless it was very early in the pregnancy. or else, she just carries tiny. Congrats to their family, they look very happy and truly comfortable with each other. the kids are dolls.

23. anna - July 7, 2008

22 I think these pictures are from an article from a while back, when she was not yet pregnant

congrats to them on the 5th mini-Of Greece :)

24. Brooke - July 7, 2008

#23 yes they were and they are lovely looking family -

25. NJL - July 7, 2008

to answer #11: “Tatler” reports that MC went to Los Angeles specifically to have the baby… In a recent inteview in VF, MC herself stated that she had major complications immediately after the birth of #4, which took place in an English birthing center. Hence, she decided to play it safe this time.

26. big bird rules - July 7, 2008

Makes sense — her sisters are there, and Cedars-Sinai is known for its experience handling high profile patients. And, it’s luxury suites are so very posh for billionaire babies and their mamas! Ridiculous, yes, but if that’s the life you live, live it!

27. Nichole - July 7, 2008

Anna - you are correct. These photos are old.

28. Amen - July 7, 2008

These photos are old, they were on this site, in fact. And at one time,
had the too blonde & natural blonde comments within the old posts.

So, so much for the non-controversial. LOL

They all look lovely, perhaps kids wearing her clothing line?

29. Calloway - July 7, 2008

MC is the only attractive Miller. I guess we will have to get used to more posts like these, now that New York events are completely dead the next 2 months.

30. HONOR - July 7, 2008

Marie-Chantal, in my opinion sits in a class of its own….The Miller
sisters moved away from New York because they do not need to
be on the spotlight or have to make a living to keep up with everyone else that is a trust fund baby or an heiress.

31. boysie & girlsie - July 8, 2008

as greece has had no monarchy for decades, there is actually no such title as “of greece”. its just made up,invented. their use of this at the beginning was quite controversial, and others poked fun. just as they do when some add “de” to their last name. anyway mc is the nicest, she was visiting the east coast last few summers. the sisters pia and alex left nyc mainly due to marriage troubles.

32. PansyAston - July 9, 2008

#31, I remember the outcry from Greeks re “of Greece”.
I assume all the throneless and courtless Euros just live in hope of a Restoration!!! In their day, the Miller Sisters WERE the PAP!
That Duty Free Shopping sure was a gold mine…….

33. constance frye - July 9, 2008

Yawn. The all-in-white family portrait is so middle-class christmas card. Pretty family though.

34. elle - July 9, 2008

I think they are just so adorable and look like such a nice family.

35. HaHaHa - July 9, 2008

constance frye, I think it’s pretty. If that’s middle class, then I’m all for it!

36. emma - July 9, 2008

33, constance frye, they’re not all wearing white. they’re also wearing blue, red, and tan. but if you HAVE to nit-pick this beautiful family photo, then you really must be a miserable cow.

37. Brooke - July 9, 2008

#33 Connie you ARE fried” gorgeous family!!!!

38. Madame Andrin - July 9, 2008

Christ, what a bunch of hopeless ass-kissers you people are. I was at Le Rosey with Pia and this one. Big f***ing deal. Get your own lives. I can assure you they sure as hell don’t think or care about you.
Oh, and just so you get it straight: she married him for his title and he for her money. There would have been no marriage or “romance” otherwise. At least Pia married a rich guy like herself.

39. Brooke - July 9, 2008

Is that how they speak at LR Madame?? My Oh MY…I love your potty mouth Madame - speaks volumes about your BS -

40. maru - July 9, 2008

Madame, i dont think ANY of the people whose pictures are posted here care about what any of us lowly commenters say!

Interesting we hear about these pretentious 1/4 -blooded Greeks only when MC has a child?
These faux royals were and continue to be the laughing stock of Greek society and European royals. Good luck to these sisters, who, for being 1/2 South American, are not really that attractive. Pavlos looks very Greek, for being 1/2 Greek.

41. Parker - July 10, 2008

#38 Yeah, and Pia’s marriage ended really well. Maybe the key is to marry someone with something that you don’t have. . .then there is more to lose if it ends. . .just at thought.

42. Marisa - July 10, 2008

madame andrin, you’re a genius! I bet none of us peons could have figured out that there was $$ involved in this marriage. But 15 years, 5 kids, and 2 genuine smiles… I doubt that can be bought. They look happy to me, and in love. And you are NOT an alum of Institut Le Rosey, I am certain of that. You are a “les paysant” just like the rest of us.

43. Texan - July 10, 2008

Yes, Roseans learn to speak like truck drivers and longshoremen in between sailing on Lake Geneva and snowshoeing in Gstaad.

It’s part of the curriculum.

Everyone knows that.

44. sia - July 10, 2008

MC really is the prettiest of the Getty girls. The article on them in VF a few months ago was great. I don’t think it mentioned her being pregnant.
Pavlos is ok, but I know from friends in Greece & also London, that really some mock them for their ‘forced’ titles. Same as what 31/ boysie & girlsie said- like Dayssi O putting the ‘de’ in her name- quite ridiculous and tacky.
They give off the aura of elegance, despite their social climb antics and antiquated names.

45. 10021 - July 10, 2008

Nothing like still using your job title long after you’ve been fired from the job. How sad…

46. Frederique - July 10, 2008

I love the Miller girls; loved MC the best. I didm’t even know she was expecting! They seem like a very happy family!! Hope to see more pics!!

47. Christine - July 11, 2008

According to reports, the new baby’s name is Aristides Stavros.

48. Jane - July 15, 2008

Okay, so we all have heard that the social-climbing Millers married (bank-rolled) their daughters off to high-profile and titled men. So? How many society/royal marriages are about Love anyhow? Most of them are more like business deals. I like MC and her family. She may have been a spoilt rich kid in her youth but I think she’s matured. She appears to really enjoy motherhood and her children all look happy and healthy. I like it that they are always smiling in their photos.

49. jarret - July 17, 2008

If he married her for her $$, and she married him to be “Crown of Princess of Greece”, isn’t it obvious who got the better deal?

maru — Nearly all European royalty that is not Catholic is basically German if you look back far enough. The Greek royal family was imported in the 19th century, just like all the other modern Eastern European royal families. They are not at all close to 1/4 Greek. But so what?
