The Young Patrons Circle of the Friends of the Louvre held their first New York benefit at Espace. The photographer Candida Höfer granted the organization permission to project her photographs of the Louvre’s Parisian galleries. Socialites there, including Olivia Chantecaille and Alexandra Papanicalaou, also bid on several, selected lots of museum treasures.
The night before was Fendi ambassador Fabiola Beracasa’s birthday, which she celebrated with her boyfriend, Jason Beckman. Fabiola’s grandmother, Alegria Beracasa, a benefactor of the Louvre, is a member of the Légion d’honneur, an honor she was bestowed upon by the French government for her contributions to that nation’s arts culture.

fabiola is beautiful! happy birthday darling!
Fabiola looks very glam. Love the classic Fendi knit dress. (Happy birthday to her!) I am seriously loving those shoes… the color is exceptional. Her use of accessories strike me as very “European” but that should no surprise, considering that it is her after all.
Genevieve will be a stunning bride one day.

WHICH Southern belles, who live in the same Upper East Side building, are competing head to head with their favorite charities? One of the blond socialites backs Operation Smile, while the other supports Smile Train. Cracked one cynic, “There aren’t enough cleft palettes in this town for the both of them” . . . WHICH dark-haired socialite now getting divorced is also on the outs with the lovely blonde who used to be her best friend? Seems the woman getting divorced caught her former friend having an affair with her husband.
First one: Jessica Simpson vs Carrie Underwood?
