Atop the Salon de Ning, which is the rooftop garden of the Peninsula Hotel, Tamsin Lonsdale of the Supper Club New York hosted a cocktail reception and preview of Manhattan, the newest glossy from the Modern Luxury group.
Fashion designer Tinsley Mortimer and her husband Topper just attended the London wedding of their friend, the Venezuelan-born socialite Vanessa Neumann, to the British writer William Cash. They celebrated the couple at the private Carlton Club after a Roman Catholic ceremony in Westminster Palace. The Japanese company Tinsley designs for, Samantha Thavasa, just released cell phones in pink, Tinsley’s favorite color, that also feature heart decorations and a reception bar that resembles the New York skyline.
Downtown scenesters and native Upper East Siders Summer Rej and Jennifer Meyers, two parts of the up-and-coming apparel and jewelry label Three Blondes, came to the party with their friend, style writer Kelley Hoffman. Summer, who now works at Vogue and as a teenager created the “Tickled Pink” nail polish and lip gloss for Chanel, has known the third “Blonde,” Kristy Rao, since childhood, and met law student Jennifer at the Calhoun School. Their line is expected to launch this fall.

Hint: Nicole Kidman has this pale look from head to toe and it is awful. Take Jennifer and Summer with you to get that hair colored properly by a colorist who knows what they are doing.

Is Tinsley pregnant? Her roots are not touched up (no bleach when you’re pregnant) and her bust looks too large for her dress (often the first place a pregnancy shows).
Just wondering if this all adds up to the patter of tiny Tinsleys?

All the girls up here look lovely! I was at this party, and the Peninsula was just breathtaking! What a perfect night to be outside. Will definitely have cocktails there again.

I have been viewing this site regularly since February, I just love it! However, for the past two months I have begun reading all of this most ridiculous commentary. I have held my tongue until now, though can no longer hold back the words. I am in no way connected to anyone featured here. I am just a city girl, living in Vermont who loves fashion, and more than celebrity tabloids the society scene.
I for one think it very sad that sooo many of you are soooooo completely superficial & hateful. I think all of the women pictured on this site are beautiful ladies, ALL shapes & sizes, Ethnic backgrounds and nose sizes. It is truly pathetic for women to openly dissect other women the way that I observe here

It is seriously time to end it with the Tinsley photos. So done, so over, there is nothing fresh. For someone who fancies herself a ‘designer’ or a fashion brand ‘ambassador’ she is sorely missing in the originality or unique look. She needs to hire some new stylists or life coaches or something! Take a solo trip to Nepal or something of the like. Especially working for a Japanese company, where fashion almost starts– how can they trust this haggard same old look to represent? Help, whether you like her or not, Tinsley is beautiful and looks very well done and polished every time she goes out. It’s that “look” of hers that got her a contract with Dior and her own mini-fashion and handbag empire with Samantha Thavasa (and now even a Tinsley pink cell phone). Whatever she’s doing with her look, it’s working. I think she looks great!
because if you were you would know that calhoun is about as socially acceptable a school as caedmon or york prep or the now defunct lenox. people don’t even consider them real private schools. its certainly not something you want to mention if you are trying to gain social acceptance - whoops!
Au contraire #42. Calhoun is a great institution, and has become one of the most prestigious co-educational schools in Manhattan. Especially since its renovations. Have no idea what caedmon is, and york prep, along with dwight, columbia prep, and bwl are surely bottom tier. #42 should think a little bit before it speaks.
furthermore, who’s to say these girls are “trying” to get social acceptance? It seems as though they already have it.

I also have to disagree with you, are you actually from new york?. I went to Sacred Heart, which I’ve always considered a highly reputable school, and I have quite a few friends who went to calhoun and find it socially acceptable that they went there. Nowadays calhoun has a very good reputation. You’re just saying that because it’s on the west side, which news flash, is now more expensive than the east.

I graduated from Stowe High School (yes a public school) and left Vermont for years. I lived on the North Shore of Boston after College, moved to San Juan, Puerto Rico & then Miami Beach. I swore I would never live here again, until September 11, 2001. I came back to Vermont & have never left. I live in South Burlington, though am familiar with Woodstock-What a gorgeous place to be married. I do kid around & call Vermont the Anti-Fashion Capital, however there is something very special & refreshingly non-superficial in the mountain air.

i went to college with kelley and this photo does NOT do her justice — she has fierce style, knows how to take risks with her clothes and can totally pull off (”porn star”) blonde without trying to look like an UES kept matron. all these haters are just jealous that their photos are not on this site.
