Fashion designer and Palm Beach society staple Nicole Hanley opened her boutique, Hanley, to the great fanfare of her friends. The store itself was so packed that guests filed onto the street with their mojitos and margaritas in hand. Nicole’s boutique, located on East 74th between Second and Third Avenues, is right next to Upper East Side preppy mainstay, J.G. Melon’s, where partygoers went to for drinks and dinner after the roaring Hanley affair.
Nicole is currently dating Matthew Mellon, the banking, steel, and oil heir. Matthew has a bit of a Midas touch with his socialite girlfriends, as they have all become major entrepreneurs in the fashion industry. As an undergraduate at the University of Pennsylvania, he dated Tory Burch. Matthew’s former wife, Tamara Mellon, is the founder of Jimmy Choo. His former fiancee Noelle Reno launched a cashmere knitwear line, Degrees of Freedom.
The face of the Hanley clothing line, Annabel Vartanian, is now romantically involved with furrier Gilles Mendel, who is several years her senior. Nicole’s sister, Merrill Curtis, came out to support her sister as did Nicole’s friends Kathryn Bohannon, Jamie Korey, and Alixe Mellon Laughlin, a distant cousin of her boyfriend Matthew.

It’s hard to critique the fashion since most of it is Hanley. I’m not crazy about any of it but I do like that turquoise shirtdress on Merrill, and the leather skirt.
Nicole looks amazing? That’s hard to swallow. With the exception of Dalia (and maybe Alice), the rest of these girls are ~WOOF!!! I hate being mean so early in the morning, but……
Nicole nails it. How old is she? Stephanie needs to take her dress back for the next size up. It bugs me when chunky girls think they can get by with a lot of skin showing just because they are tan.

Nicole Hanley is KILLING it. Makes me smile. Its inner beauty with her… She’s not outwardly the most gorgeous girl, but she has an aura. Loves it.
Casey Johnson looks sexy… what a bod! And I NEED that dress.
Dalia & Annebelle are pretty in ways that say “I don’t have to try”. Amazonian redheads make me jealous, lol.
Alice’s legs also make me jealous.

Is anyone here not aware of what a freak M Mellon is? You have to be pretty attention starved and social climbing to be willing to date THAT. At least Noelle was pretty.
Nanette Emily Brill is like the biggest freak loser in New York so maybe that’s why lol.
I like some of the clothes.
Matthew is into cross dressing.
Snotty Poot these girls are not younger (Nicole is 31) just less known.
In one of pictures the blonde in the background in the yellow dress is 40 year old Leslie Francisco. You have no reason to know who she is and she would never get so much as a photo but 10 years from now she will still be attending these parties for no reason.
That’s just me I always look for people in the background of these pictures!:)
Matthew had his own share of problems with his marriage to Tamara… but one must think, how much of that is actually true? If he makes Nicole happy, then that should be enough. I never noticed his Midas touch until now… let us hope that Nicole also receives it and is just as successful as Tory and Tamara.
