The Society of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center threw an urban safari-themed benefit for the Clown Care Unit of the Big Apple Circus, a special group of doctors that entertain their pediatric patients dressed as clowns. Guastavino’s, which is adjacent to the 59th Street Bridge, was the ideal venue for the event’s underwriter, the appropriately named Ports 1961, which dressed the host committee, while Ivanka Trump’s label jeweled them.
The ladies there, including Eleanor Ylvisaker and Patricia Herrera Lansing, sipped on cocktails in the event space’s garden, which was dotted with circulating models in Ports 1961. Tinsley Mortimer came to this benefit immediately after attending one for Operation Smile with her sister Dabney Mercer and their friend Vanessa Trump.
After catching up with one other outside, the medical center’s patrons went inside for dinner. Pharmaceuticals heiress Casey Johnson announced to her friends that she and her daughter Ava, the child she adopted from Kazakhstan last year, would be moving to New York from their current base of Los Angeles.

Eleanor looks cute! Nice to see her face again. The windswept look on Tinsley is sweet and her dress is pretty much amazing. Love everyone’s sandals, especially Stephanie’s and Alexandra’s.

i don’t really know what to make of casey, natalie, and alexandra. well, at least they are all brave for coming out like that!
i think shoshanna is gorgeous. even in such a simple dress, she is a complete standout. it’s how your wear the clothes, or so ive been told.

let’s hope that when casey moves to the inwhysee that her sisters-in-society will take her in hand and make sure that she doesn’t cross the bridge to duplicate that phyllis diller hair(un)do. natalie and alexandra only posed with her b/c they knew they would look fabulous next to her — natalie in an unflattering ruffled number that no zaftig woman should ever think of wearing and alexandra sporting a daisy mae clampett getup. i know it’s a weakness to pick on such an obvious target but casey is begging to be ridiculed. how many people spit out their champagne when she walked in?
