The Society of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center threw an urban safari-themed benefit for the Clown Care Unit of the Big Apple Circus, a special group of doctors that entertain their pediatric patients dressed as clowns. Guastavino’s, which is adjacent to the 59th Street Bridge, was the ideal venue for the event’s underwriter, the appropriately named Ports 1961, which dressed the host committee, while Ivanka Trump’s label jeweled them.
The ladies there, including Eleanor Ylvisaker and Patricia Herrera Lansing, sipped on cocktails in the event space’s garden, which was dotted with circulating models in Ports 1961. Tinsley Mortimer came to this benefit immediately after attending one for Operation Smile with her sister Dabney Mercer and their friend Vanessa Trump.
After catching up with one other outside, the medical center’s patrons went inside for dinner. Pharmaceuticals heiress Casey Johnson announced to her friends that she and her daughter Ava, the child she adopted from Kazakhstan last year, would be moving to New York from their current base of Los Angeles.

Eleanor looks cute! Nice to see her face again. The windswept look on Tinsley is sweet and her dress is pretty much amazing. Love everyone’s sandals, especially Stephanie’s and Alexandra’s.

let’s hope that when casey moves to the inwhysee that her sisters-in-society will take her in hand and make sure that she doesn’t cross the bridge to duplicate that phyllis diller hair(un)do. natalie and alexandra only posed with her b/c they knew they would look fabulous next to her — natalie in an unflattering ruffled number that no zaftig woman should ever think of wearing and alexandra sporting a daisy mae clampett getup. i know it’s a weakness to pick on such an obvious target but casey is begging to be ridiculed. how many people spit out their champagne when she walked in?

Casey Johnson looks wrong from top to bottom. Usually when a girl goes out in public like that it is because she either has no good friends to tell her she looks bad or she has some bad friends who tell her she looks good. Which one do you think happened here?

This was chaired by Christina Smith and drew a really smart group, but you would have to know that, to know it.. I am sure Christina S and Christina Addison are happy not to have been lumped with these people. There is a line you do not cross and the people who know this, do not cross it..I guess I should leave it at that..
Eleanor’s dress is kinda hippie chic, with the exception of the saggy breast area. Stephanie??? get some colour on those legs…
I know most people don’t like Melissa; for what ever reason; but I think she looks very grown up and old style chic in that picture.
Christina should be happy that these girls even attended. Does anyone remember last year’s “beach themed” gala for MSK? Yeah, the top-billed girl there was Melissa B… Therefore, she should be very thrilled that Casey Johnson, Tinsley, and Shoshanna Lonstein came this year. Both Christina’s could only HOPE to one day be lumped with girls with names that bring prospective donors to charities like this.

Tinsley looks the best here, I think. It’s nice to see the windblown look as opposed to the typical stilted step and return pictures. But I’m sick of her wearing the same mary jane shoes, it is getting a little precious.
In person Alex looked adorable - come on, she’s 5 months pregnant, people! The dress was pretty ingenious the way it flattered her bump. Something she designed for herself.
Melissa - tricky color to pull off but she did, and well. She always dressed well, to me, and was pretty, just too thin. Now she’s not. To me that’s the only difference.

Love Eleanor’s dress but the hairstyle not flattering to her jaw, which looks like it could crack walnuts. She also looks slightly greasy.

Natalie is Natalie, what can I say. I like her and I thought she actually looked pretty good at the event, but this is just such a bad picture of the three of them.

Tinsley’s dress is from Roberto Cavalli’s latest collection. She also attended an event for Operation Smile right before with Dabney and Vanessa. She looks lovely and everything coordinates nicely.

No. It’s wanting to be remembered from when they were single debs and made the papers, just in case . These girls are hardly feminists, not taking their husband’s names fully isn’t some statement. And fine for them, it’s just there’s so many of them . It’s sort of pretentious, wanting to be known for daddy’s money AND the husband snagged, at the same time. And yes I know the Brits do it all the time. Come to think of it, good for Tinz.

Vaughn is very sweet. Married to Michael Dorrian of Dorrian’s in NY. Sounds like 11968 would probably know more precisely but I am pretty sure her family has something to do with Harley Davidson. She is nice and normal. Good friends with Christina Smith.
#47 i quite liked tatiana’s dress…she looked very nice and wore it well.
I like Eleanor, but why is her skin always so shiney? Too much moisterizer?
At first glance I thought Eleanor had a satin track jacket tied around her waist. But after I scrolled down through the other fashion land mines, she was forgiven.

Calloway i usually agree w every single thing you say/comment, however i dont get the Shoshanna dislike? She is the only exotic-looking brunette in this bunch of dyed, lighter faux haircolors (i’m saying shes the darkest brunette, obviously there are other lighter brown-haired’s). I just love her look lately. Very ladylike and cool. I just hope she doesnt lose too much weight bc it is not becoming of her facial features.
