Georgina Chapman, the designer of Marchesa, was especially happy to see her friend from London, Jemma, Countess of Mornington, and spent time introducing the visiting British make-up artist to her friends.
This is Lauren Bush’s last event until this Saturday’s nuptials of her cousin Jenna Bush and law student Henry Hager. She will be flying to President Bush’s ranch in Crawford, Texas at the end of the week for the wedding. Family friend Maggie Betts will also be on hand for the Christian ceremony.
The gala’s organizers made it a point to invite Alexandra and Matthew Reeve, the eldest children of America’s original superhero, the late Superman actor Christopher Reeve.

Paul and Dylan are way too cute. The way they cocked their heads on the same angle… and I am sure they did not do that on purpose. When will he propose to her? Dylan Arrouet… sounds nice!

Byrdie.. Don’t have enough adjective to describe this disaster. Didn’t one of the Olsen sister wear this dress or something similar last year?
Byrdie is unrecognizable, don’t like makeup or dress.
the Olsens actually looked decent this year — James -you missed the scoop! look at style.com they look like normal girls.
I just looked through over 100 photos, and do not see Arden, I am
mystified….especially with her mother’s super hero comic books, wouldn’t you think those 2 would have squeezed out some invites somehow ? They must be so sad.

And is something going on with David L’s front/ temple area- hair? It’s always somewhat stringy and wispy on top.

Paul works at Bear & Stearns and graduated from UPenn. Nice guy and known to be an animal in the sack. Dylan is just waiting around for him to propose.
Byrdie Bell is such a sad, SAD figure. Nobody really spoke with her on Monday night. She’s becoming the next Olivia Palermo which is so ironic. I guess this backstabbing social climber is slowly getting what she deserves.
Jemma is one lucky lady. Her husband, Arthur, is HOT!!! He only has a subsidiary title of Earl or Mornington but once his grandpa (Duke of Wellington) and dad (Marquess of Douro) pass he will become the Duke of Wellington… making Jemma a Duchess.

Georgina is a class act. She reminds me of a porcalin doll, her face is flawless. And her hair is always perfect. She does look thinner these days. She is like the pretty and thinner version of Melania Trump.

Emma, I am not sure about David Lauren (Ralph Lauren’s son) being disinvited to the Met Gala. Now that David is running a huge portion of the company I doubt Vogue would gamble on the revenue it receives from the company ad campaigns consistently running every month.

Yes, I didn’t make that clear; I meant to the wedding. The rumor is silly because it’s based on stupidity. The invitation list was kept to 200; that probably means people who might have been invited to a White House wedding weren’t invited to a small, private one in Texas.

wow David L was disinvited to the wedding? That is just such a faux pas in terms of Lauren being a first cousin, right? And she has dated David for a long time now? Even with just 200 closest family/ friends, that sounds off. But then again what can you expect from the Bush’s.
Oh for everyone commenting on the woman in the silver/ grey dress behind the Reeves and the DuPonts (as well as other photos) - she is clearly everyone’s favorite from all the Superwomen posts– everyone keeps commenting about her! Maybe she worked the event? She was shooing some folks, guiding, standing very close to the photo line….? Love her dress.
Sia, that was one rumor and it was based on silliness and ignorance. It would have been rude if he’d been “disinvited” but it’s doubtful that happened. It would have been hard to keep that guest list at 200 people; the Bush’s have a big family (maybe the Hager’s too) and with 28 in the “house party”. More than 10% of the guests were attendants so maybe a lot of people weren’t invited.
