The fashionable set filled the basement of steakhouse Macelleria for a private dinner honoring the artist David Ellis. Hosted by Theory, the fashion brand comissioned Ellis to complete a weeklong painting performance in their Meatpacking District storefront.

The artist painted for eight hours for eight consecutive days in a replica of an airplane hangar; his manual labor was captured on film and the digital stills were made into a movie. He debuted the work, called “Flyaway,” to the bon chic, bon genre crowd of socialites and models, including Fabiola Beracasa and Theodora Richards.

The ladies feasted upon a candle-lit dinner of mozzarella di bufala, roasted chicken, and a cut of the restaurant’s trademark porterhouse steak. They then walked down Gansevoort St. to Theory’s boutique for cocktails, desserts, and the artist’s premiere of his work. Later, some of the women went to nearby club 1OAK for an evening nightcap.

1. Aussie - April 10, 2008

Fabiola is beautiful!

2. jenn - April 10, 2008

love lauren bush… classic american beauty. admire theodora’s style… praying that those are extensions because otherwise she has perfect hair. byrdie looks very cute, i dig the suede booties.

3. Snooty Poot - April 10, 2008

HA! I saw that terrible red headband and those stupid tights & shoes in the background of Lauren’s picture and knew just who they belonged to…

4. Monsieur T. - April 10, 2008

If only Arden had fallen out that window. The world would be free of hideous headbands and leggings.

5. mariella - April 10, 2008

Byrdie is too skinny.
Fabiola looks really pretty.

6. UESGRL14 - April 10, 2008

best outfit: Bell

7. b.SophiaLoren - April 10, 2008

What a fun group of pictures!
I disagree- I think the best outfit was Alexandra Richards. What a gorgeous girl! Also, Lydia Heart & Michelle T. look really nice.
I think Arden is really cute… headbands, leggings & all. I know, I know.
Theodora, I KNOW we talked about the tights-as-pants thing. If Lindsey Lohan has knocked it off, why can’t you? Yes, you have a nice body. I also can see the imprint of your vag, and its frankly making me uncomfortable.

8. e 73rd street - April 10, 2008

the Richards are looking stoned? They look like they would like to dive into a bag of Dorito’s. Lydia is looking way too thin.

9. Booties are fug - April 10, 2008

Why are booties back? They look good with nothing! Byrdie was best dressed for me until I looked below her ankles. Maggie Betts looks great as does Lauren.

Does anyone else think that Lydia and Michelle make an unlikely best friend duo?

10. Justine Hart - April 10, 2008

Byrdie’s hair color really suits her

11. luxe - April 10, 2008

who cares if the Richards sisters are stoned…they’re probably not nearly as uptight as some of the critics on this blog.
Come on they are the offspring of Keith Richards!

12. Elspeth - April 10, 2008

SO nice to see Arden back. We missed you!

13. luxe - April 10, 2008

Ewww…just saw some more pics of this event on style.com…Dori Cooperman…see for yourself

14. joelle - April 10, 2008

“who cares if the Richards sisters are stoned…they’re probably not nearly as uptight as some of the critics on this blog.”

I COMPLETELY AGREE! and both of them are gorgeous

15. Hoolrah - April 10, 2008

Theodora is gorgeous, but why must she insist on a gratuitous display of cameltoe everywhere she goes? Byrdie looks a bit uptight here- even more than usual

16. Bree - April 10, 2008

awww i love byrdie’s outfit!!

17. Bree - April 10, 2008

and i love how james put the first photo on style in the bottom of the post :-)

18. NYBlondes - April 10, 2008

Lydia is looking fierce!

19. ATL - April 10, 2008

Fabiola looks a little like Rachael Ray in the first pic…

20. Jemma - April 10, 2008

As I was scrolling down, all I thought was blah blah and more BLAH. What is with all the black?? Fabiola looks straight out of “working woman”, I think I even see shoulder pads in there and why is Michelle T in boots?? Enough winter clothing already.
The Richards girls are a mess, they both look like addicts.
Thank goodness for Byrdie Bell, she looks stunning. Lauren Bush would look nice if it wasn’t for that stupid bag she carries everywhere.
LOVE the shoes on Lydia Hearst.

21. sr_cuervo - April 10, 2008

Love Byrdies legs!! She is absolutly stunning.

22. Grace - April 10, 2008

A few of these folks really should consider an NA meeting!

23. Notassnarkyasyou - April 10, 2008

Consider not wearing something just because it’s “fashionable”.

24. downtowner - April 10, 2008

Lauren gets her photo taken with the bag displayed because she designed it, promotes it, and works with WFP.

Sort of like Tinsley carries Samantha Thavasa and wears Dior or her own designs.

At least Lauren cares about something beyond people’s comments on a website.

25. Jemma - April 10, 2008

the bag is hideous… especially with a cocktail dress. fine if you’re out and about running errands in jeans, but to a dinner party?? No

26. Grace - April 10, 2008

I now firmly believe Arden’s outlandish style is a serious CRY FOR HELP.

27. Bea - April 10, 2008

I, for one, think this party looked like a lot of fun! Everyone is dressed so nicely. Yes, it would have been nice if everyone tried to incorporate some color in their ensembles (it’s April!) but as it is, it’s fine. Fabiola looks like a doll. Byrdie would have been a knockout had she smiled or somehow had her face lit up. Lauren is an American beauty. Theodora is simply gorgeous… does anyone else remember that picture of her with Andrea Casiraghi on this website? And kooky, wacky Arden with her Prada shoes… oh how I love PAP! :)

28. p - April 10, 2008

Lauren is glowing… i like her cousin Barbara, too… the bush girls are so pretty and wish we could see more of Ashley..

29. Upper East Sider - April 10, 2008

I think the booties are fine on Byrdie. Why does she always look so sour, though?

I second Jenn. If that is Theodora’s real hair, then I really am jealous of her. I LOVE her bag, by the way.

And about leggings, they’re fine! It’s the latest trend. I read that Lindsay Lohan loves them so much that she’s creating her own line!

30. gag - April 10, 2008

no, no! leggings are not the latest trend. let’s be clear, they are an old trend, very old. and horrible, so good riddance. Lindsay Lohan should be style inspiration for no one.

31. LA - April 10, 2008

Fabiola is gorgeous. I love the red lipstick and purse. This is the best hair color and hair style for her. She looks amazing!

32. fashionista - April 10, 2008

amy’s dress is nina ricci… i have it in my closet and it is perfect for a night out. if you’re going for basic, theodora nails it. it’s all about the shoes and accessories and funky basic (in her case, the jacket). i am in love with chiara’s peep toe pumps!

33. Beau Soleil - April 10, 2008

Lydia reminds me of Amanda Hearst… However, Amanda seems more like a true Park Avenue Princess and I don’t know if she would attend such a “downtown” party. Same with Tinsley, who I believe only leaves the Upper East Side when she leaves the country. They aren’t my style, per se, but Arden’s Prada shoes are definitely what they now recognize as “fierce.”

34. Soho - April 10, 2008

Snooty, same here! Arden knows her style. It is what makes her different than super feminine Tinsley or Chanel/Fendi/LV-only Fabiola… and it diverts attention from her face. I can’t even think of one time on this website that I have seen Arden in an outfit most people wouldn’t consider off-beat. More power to her.

I adore Theodora. She is the spitting image of her gorgeous mother, Patti. Lovely style, too.

35. socialista - April 10, 2008

love fab.. she looks great. alexandra von f. has a similar piece by alexander wang.

maggie’s gown is so grecian… i like it and the jacket makes it not as formal as it could have been.

byrdie looks great. cute booties actually!

36. LoveYa - April 10, 2008

Snooty Poot (#3), You made me laugh!

Byrdie’s face is so pretty, as are many of her clothes. But I wish she would look a little happier/nicer.

37. CT girl - April 10, 2008

I love Byrdie’s shoes, who makes them?

38. sia - April 10, 2008

i wonder why i would be the only one to think Fabiola got a totally unflattering picture taken of her? Her face looks quite large and i dont think the red lips with the brassy/red hair suit her. she looked better a soft non-red brown hair, and softer makeup, more emphasis on eyes. But i do get the ‘Working Girl’ reference.
i cannot believe the flagrant cameltoe here. astonishing!
i love Byrdie.
And aren’t we too deep into spring for the black tights to still be out in full force? I may be wrong i guess.

39. Harlan - April 11, 2008

Fabiola looks like a science project at this point. Personally I think it’s revolting. As for Arden, anyone who has to make her name by dressing as heinously as possible so she can get into the worst dressed sections of the tabloid rags is beyond desperate. Yes, Tinsley sometimes got in there, but it was only when she was dressed in a costume for, say, Halloween or Heatherette. It wasn’t just for any old night on the town. She has also made it into other sections legitimately. I guess what I am saying is that, it should not be Arden’s, or anyone’s, goal, to be the Bai Ling or Courtney Peldon of the social set. Just grow up already and find a slightly more dignified way to get attention.

40. maggie - April 11, 2008

byrdie knows the gap between her teeth looks terrible. Always smart of her not to smile when her picture is taken .

41. sr_cuervo - April 11, 2008

I luv Byrdie and she really looks cute when she smiles, the gap between her teeth is not terrible,it is part of her total package which is beautiful.

42. LoveYa - April 11, 2008

Even if Byrdie isn’t smiling she could still have a more pleasant look on her face. She’s a pretty girl, nevertheless.

43. Silver Hill - April 11, 2008

MY eyes @@!! the camel toes

44. Isabella Gucci - April 14, 2008

The women look great in these photos..I especially like the Lydia Hearst and Michelle Trachtenberg, Lydia shoes are sooooo hot!

45. Carrie - April 14, 2008

God, Arden. Nooooo!

46. Boutique Mix Fashion - April 14, 2008

Fabiola looks wonderful. So does Michelle Trachtenberg.
