Blair Voltz Clarke, Alexandra Lind Rose, and Olivia Chantecaille
Save Venice was founded to preserve the artworks of the Italian city of water from further flood damage; the night of the organization’s masked ball at the Metropolitan Club, a heavy shower of rain hit New York. Fortunately, it wasn’t enough to flood the island of Manhattan nor even to ruin a lady’s dress.
Besides wearing a mask to cover her eyes, Alexandra Lind Rose masked someone else very special with, appropriately, an empire-waist gown from her own line for Fiandaca. The fashion designer is four months pregnant with her first child with her husband, Louis Rose. The couple were thrilled to share the news with their friends and received warm congratulations from, amongst others, Holly Dunlap of the fashion company Hollywould, which sponsored the evening, and Olivia Chantecaille, a co-chairwoman of the event that graciously accepted her own fair share of gawking from fellow patrons over her prolific diamond engagement ring from fiancé Ren Grady.

Congratulations Alexandra! Your dress is fabulous!
Congratulations are in order for Alex! Woo hoo!
Olivia is stunning as is her rock.
Adelina looks fabulous.
Alex looks great! Glowing, in fact! Olivia looks very happy, too.
Nice boats, Blair. A haircut or a good blow dry could have helped to lift our eyes from your enormous feet to your head.
Blair’s just missing the corsage.
Adelina is stunning.
My congratulations to the lovely bride…
Adelina’s dress fits like true couture, and her minaudière bag is perfect.
Is Hollywould’s line doing THAT well? I find the clothes/shoes hideous and overpriced given their workmanship.
Who is Francesca and why does she look like she’s late for the barbecue at Twelve Oaks?
I do not like that women wear coktail dresses for a ball. It makes me think they just do not care with protocol. I might be old fashion, or just simple old :D, but that is how I think.
Blair’s hair could have used some professional help before the party. And Francesca the same with her make up.
Alexandra and Olivia look gorgeous on the first photo.
Love Adelina’s dress. Anyone knows the designer?
Also Blair wearing a wristwatch at a formal event = faux pas
geez…why is everyone so down on Blair. Perhaps her schedule does not allow her to primp for these events all day.
I love Holly, Nice to see her here.
What’s wrong with Adelina’s eyes? Are they crossed? Very distracting from the dress. And how come she never shows up with her husband?
Wow! Olivia is stunning. Congrats to Alexandra!! Blair just doesn’t look right. Her hair needed help. Not sure that dress is her color because it simply isn’t working for her. With the exception of Blair, they all look beautiful and appropriately dressed. Much better showing than what we saw at Riverkeepers.
Francesca looks like Trailer Park Barbie.
Blair, the Holiday Inn called. They want their tablecloth back.
Holly, black tights do not make you look thinner. Your otherwise normal legs now look like those on my piano. Note to self: Never wear black hose again.
Congrats to Olivia, who is still glowing.
*I think there were a lot of bad dress choices made here. I know it’s the style not, but if someone told me these pictures were from a sociaty ball in the ’80s, I’d believe them.
Overall, everyone looks pretty- I’m a little disappointed in Franscesca though, such a lovely gown doesn’t deserve to be marred by harsh makeup & loud-colored hair.
Alexandra was totally in full costume for this thing…as an over tinsled christmas tree.
I think Park Ave Peerage should add a feature where everyone who comments has to post photos of themselves. I have a feeling that those who have the most snarky, mean-spirited comments are probably the girls (or boys) who are the most aesthetically challenged.
I love Alexandra’s dress and think she deserves a prize for taking a fashion risk, which is better than looking boring in something safe & black. I also love Blair’s dress and think she looks adorable, and who cares if she didn’t spend the day at the salon - she has kids and a husband, so a 3 hour blowout & makeup session shouldn’t be her top priority, and she still looks great. Adelina looks drop-dead gorgeous, and anyone who says different is clearly jealous.
It’s low class to post mean comments, so let’s keep it classy, kids.
adelina may e wearing a prosthesis or simple has a lazy eye that was never corrected- however considering the number of “plastics” people in nyc and her saved pennies- something could be done…
maybe she’s like Lauren Hutton who often doesn’t fill the space between her front teeth.
Ugh some of you are so scary, and I mean Dr. Plastic. Who cares about that stuff? How would you feel if you read yourself torn apart to that low level online? Think about it.
Adelina looks AMAZING. If you deny that, you are blind. Alexandra is glowing. Congrats to her on the pregnancy! She has that mother’s glow to her. Love Olivia. She is so pretty!
P.S. Olivia is in Cavalli. Alexandra designed her own dress. Adelina is certainly not wearing Hollywould. Maybe Blair is?
Grace, why the uproar? These women put themselves out there, thus they are subject to both good and bad scrutiny. Having an opinion doesn’t necessarily mean someone’s jealous. Get with the program. You don’t need to defend everyone.
Adelina Wong Ettelson is just stunning in that dress! What an appropriate choice. Alexandra Lind Rose should not design her own dresses unless its for a maternity line and even then…
Blair’s dress is too 80s prom for me. Also, she appears to be tall and lithe…the perfect shape and height for a long, dramatic gown! Leave the short gowns to us petite ladies
Olivia looks FANTASTIC! That is Cavalli?
Duuude, I went to Saguaro High School with Holly Dunlap! She used to hang around with a Birkenstock wearing Leslie Ternes!
To be fair it was pouring that evening so if someone’s hair looks a little messy or out of sorts you can’t blame them. Some things you can’t control.
Blair’s dress looks to be Hollywould but funny how none of the other chairs woould touch her tacky crap. What an inappropraite sponsor for this event.
What exactly does Adelina do for a living? All the other socials have a “career”, but always wondered how Adelina managed to get invited to these events.
#15 - Grace, dear…you must be new to this site….
Are we still calling Alexandra a “designer,” even though her line lasted like, 5 minutes?? And even though everything she turned out made the wearer look pregnant, even when they weren’t?
Alexandra just designed a line for Fiandaca last fall. If you didn’t know already, she laxed on designing because she wanted to raise a family with Louis… don’t you remember when she used to show at the tents at Bryant Park and was even bigger than Tory? Now she has everything she wants. She looks beautiful! Congrats on the baby Alex!!
her collection was pretty conservative… perfect for a republican park ave housewife like herself but maybe not for the fashion-focused lauren d’s and fabiolas of the world… adelina and olivia look amazing.
#15 Oh Grace dear Grace!! I think you are trying to “shut down” PAP with your kindness - nasty but fun???
Both side of this have a point. These ladies (and occassionally men) are knowingly putting themselves in the public domain. The mere fact that we see them frequently at these events is evidence that they are searching out the social scene; therefore, they know they will be photoged. Sorry, but they’re fair game… and its fun because we don’t have to feel guilty commenting.
On the other hand, no one should go overboard with attacks. By and large these are classy people and I assume that many of the people posting here are classy as well. The anonymity is a double edged sword but I can assure #15 that I would have no problem posting my pics if it was protocol- without the anonymity we may not feel inclined to be honest about what we are thinking since many of us are commenting on people we know or run into and as a result would not be honest to keep the peace. It’s just the fun of PAP. #15, I trust you need to no longer take such a position. If you don’t like it, feel free to not look at the site.
#15 - Why are you reading the comments if you find them so offensive? I have a suggestion….GO ELSEWHERE.
By the way, Blair is a hugely annoying social climber. If she is going to these parties and posing for Patrick McMullan, she does need to take care of her hair. I failed to mention how awful her dress is.
Alexandra was never anywhere near the level of Tory’s line. Nice try — what are you, her mom or her publicist??
Adelina, so nice to see the return of the eyes! She looks fabulous from the collarbone d-o-w-n. stunning dress and purse.
Olivia looks smashing, even though her ribcage is poking out (naturally). She must use the fabulous Chantecaille foundation i always read about and must get one of these days. Anyone ever tried it?
Also- does she have a very thin chain around her neck? I thought it was my picture or computer at first, but it seems it shows on both shots. I love her skin, I must get that base!
Grace, I agree with you. I think many people forget that the girls actually read the comments. It’s simple, really… if you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all!
Congrats to Alex! She is such a sweetheart. She and Louis will make amazing parents and I am so happy to see her lovely glow!
#12 - “Still a Lady” - I’m so glad that you understand that being a lady includes a wonderful sense of humor!
Olivia is glowing - how wonderful for her!
I’m sorry that Blair looks like am expensive bridesmaid - however, as the owner of a pair of boats instead of feet (Daddy always said that the boxes would do the same thing AND be cheaper) - lay off! However, no excuse for a daytime watch with evening wear.
#14 & #15 - find another board, please or find something intelligent to post.
#18 - so right!
#19 - I agree that Adelina looks just wonderful - beautiful dress and she wears it vs. the dress wearing her.
#23 - who cares?
#26 - Findaca is originally from Boston (if it’s the same guy?) and I have a couple of his dresses from way back when - wonderful stuff and I’m saving them for a future vintage thing…even though I won’t fit into them they are worth saving. Beautifully made, too.
#29 - thank you - I feel much the same.
And…#31 Who compared Alexandra to TB? Get real!
Fifthmadison - You took the words right out of my mouth, LOL.
Chimosa - Agreed! Adelina looks great from below the collar. The dress is beautiful and she wears it well. BUT - She def. needs to do something about her eyes and face.
Sorry if that sounds mean to some of you, but that is just my honest assessment.
chimosa — that foundation is the best, do try it.
