The Apollo Circle of the Metropolitan Museum of Art hosted their black-tie benefit under the flash of cameras. A photographer took guests’ photographs, which appeared instantly on a screen for all to see. The event continues to remain a major one for polite society; benefit chairs Tory Burch, Marina Rust Connor, and Marjorie Gubelmann were all joined in the Temple of Dendur for dancing and cocktails by Alexis Bryan, Byrdie Bell, Renee Rockefeller, Gigi Mortimer, Elizabeth Lindemann and Berry and Jane Bloomingdale.

Tory and Renee are elegant, tasteful, and refined. Love their dresses. They both look wonderful.
What should I know about Jane and Berry Bloomingdale?
Berry and Jane are the Bloomingdale heiresses. Berry lived in LA for a while but does a lot in NYC now. Jane is adorable and doesn’t go out as much as she should. I love those two. They are both a lot of fun.
I think Byrdie looks stunning here. I like the tartan accent on Marina’s classic dress. Renee looks wonderful.

The Apollo Circle event was a bit of a let down this year. Most of the top socials either did not attend or chose not to stay for very long. And who could blame them.; the crowd, save the ladies included in this post, was very B-list, with some attendees looking especially cheap. Moreover, the music selection was of relatively low quality as were the hors d’oeuvres. The Young Lions Benefit was much better than the Apollo Circle Benefit this year.
Byrdie Bell is the biggest social climbing USER- she needs to go away
Byrdie looks ridiculous, like a band of gypsies stole her dress and threw a bunch of fabric at her. Alexis could be so hot, why does she never do her hair? MRC’s gorgeous, glad to see her back in top form.
Maybe less gypsies and more unoccupied Parsons students? That looks like a first-year dress they make for studio class. I think she would look Renee Rockefeller-elegant (I think Renee looks so beautiful in this picture) if she put her hair up and kept her mouth closed. She has a beautiful body and can do better than this.
When you actually put the tartan accent in, it doesn’t look as good as it did in the sketch… Still Marina looks good.
I love the fit of Jane Bloomingdale’s dress.
The Young Lions party was so bad. It was just a total afterthought. Am sure the dinner part was much cooler. It was basically a cocktail party in the lobby.
