Nothing brings them out better than a store opening. Chloé, with Vogue, re-christened their store on Madison Avenue with a new interior design. As an extra incentive, the socialites were able to preview three artworks for the Guggenheim’s Young Collectors Council Artist’s Ball auction.
Tinsley Mortimer hosted a luncheon earlier that day to honor Samantha Thavasa at the John Jacob Astor library of the St. Regis Hotel; she had peonies flown in specially from Chile for the fashion company’s one-year American anniversary celebration. She came dressed in her own Riccimie by Tinsley Mortimer line with a bag, too, of her own design.
Alexis Bryan, Amanda Hearst, Margherita Missoni, Zani Gugelmann, Marina Rust Connor, and Olivia Chantecaille checked out pieces from Chloé’s upcoming spring collection and swayed to the tunes of Helena Christensen, the boutique’s guest DJ.

All the pictures above have horrible lighting. Everyone looks terrible.
On the other hand, I’ve seen that plaid bag at the Samantha Thavasa store, and it is actually adorable–love the incongruity of white patent leather with a wool winter plaid.
Laird’s shoes so funny,ha!ha!ha.I hope next time she could be better
Tinsley’s face looks bloated, Alexis has great legs and I agree she looks great when she wears color, Laird is atrocious–shoes are horrendous, Olivia looks like an old lady–dress is awful and her shoes are as bad as laird’s.
Amanda looks pretty as always. Elettra looks like a little vixen….in a good way!
Tinsley is on the cover of Virginia magazine this month; she’s featured a lovely fashion layout at TJ’s (that’s Thomas Jefferson) boyhood home in Richmond. She looks fabulous. Ok, let the sniping begin.
Some of these outfits are dreadful.
i am not liking most people’s fashion choices…
i think tinsley looks cute and normal actually. amanda hearst is the only one who is making all that crazy chloe clothing work. everyone else looks kind of “off” to me…
Olivia is back to looking frumpy. The last few posts on PAP gave me some hope for her…
Alexis and Amanda look the best to me.
I think Tinsley looks cute. Everyone else’s outfits look kind of ridiculous to me.
Elettra is wow. Love her already. More please!
Completely agree with UESgirl!!! Amanda is the only one who pulled it off. Elettra’s dress needs to be steamed.
Oh God Nicole H is just so fugly.
I think Tinsley looks great- age appropriate but true to her own style. Also loved her hair in the NYSD picture- she actually looks younger with it wavy and full like that. Laird’s eyes are so pretty and the skirt and the jacket are cute together.
Chessy Wilson looks great (well, except the shoes). The color and fabric of her dress is wonderful. Check out the once-over Alexis is getting from the woman behind her in the photo. Elettra has her mother’s nose (that’s a compliment btw). Interesting and accurate observation about her resemblance to Sigourney Weaver. Hadn’t noticed that before.
