Lucy Sykes and Euan Rellie August 16, 2007

High society in England took in the wedding of the year in 2002 at Christ Church, Chelsea in London. In Vera Wang (her sister Alice wore Chanel, her twin sister Plum wore Alexander McQueen) Lucy Sykes wed Euan Rellie.
It was attended by the couple’s friends- including the children and grandchildren of such peers as the Duke of Marlborough, the Marquess of Londonderry, and the Baron Acton. Lucy herself is the great-granddaughter of Sir Tatton Sykes, 6th Bt., which makes her a direct descendant of Charles II. Needless to say, like her cousin several times removed, Diana, Princess of Wales, the Independent called Lucy “the most beautiful bride in Britain.”
These nobles sat alongside heiresses like Emily Oppenheimer, Amanda Ross, and Clementine Hambro, and even Euan’s one-time roommate Sophie Dahl. Zani Gugelmann, Bettina Zilkha, and Amy Sacco all crossed the pond to watch Lucy and Euan marry.
After the ceremony, guests were driven to Brooks’s, the private London club that the Rellies are members of. They then moved onto the Stork Club, where Euan’s best friend the Hon. Toby Young, described, in the Evening Standard, that the environment was so wild that “fashionable young people in New York and London will boast that they were conceived at [this] wedding — and it’ll probably be true.”
This is the first in a series on society weddings.

Lucy is gorgeous.
I love social weddings. I’d be happy to see more. Perhaps a weekly thing?
Sorry to change the subject early but take a look at Page Six. The girls are at it again.
Urgh, what a way to draw attention away from a good cause….. poor form Tins and OP. This would have been a good opportunity to rise above the hype……
Lucy is marvelous. She is glowing and she looks as happy as someone can be. Euan is also handsome in a very British way. They had such a classic English society wedding… a lot of family and a lot of titles!
lucy and euan are charming and i love them. these pictures are beautiful.
just fyi: page six has it in for tinsley. if any of you have ever read their coverage of her, it is never nice. would you want to go to an event that… how do i put this?… the liar who tried her very best to drag down your reputation and everything youve built (olivia) was “hosting”? no, i wouldnt.
How dare Page Six repeat the lies about Tinsley which sicko Palermo HERSELF started. What a shame that girl ever came on this scene. None of this is Tins’ fault. She is an unwitting victim to Paula Froelich who is friends with Palermo’s PR team. As far as mentioning Palermo in this piece: Palermo’s PR plotted this piece with Froelich because Olivia had totally dropped from the scene and once again they have brought her back by tying her name to Tins. Tins is a lady, but my bet is that she will sue Page Six. All of this is a lie anyhow because Tinsley was in France with Lauren Davis and the Santo Domingoes until yesterday and never planned to go to the event. You’re Sick, Palermo. Go to LA like you promised.
Why would the planners ask both Tinsley and Olivia to co-host? It is no secret that these two hate each other. It just seems strange. If I was planning this charity event I would not ask these two enemies to host. My opinion is that either way both Tinsley and Olivia would look like fools if the did end up co-hosting this event together. I can just see the fakeness now and what would the paper be saying today. “Tinsley sucks up to Olivia” or “Tinsley the fake” I feel bad for Tinsley today because Page 6 was really harsh.
Also I find it really amusing that the “old social type” had to add that Brooke Astor would roll in her grave. Times have changed sense these great ladies ruled the social scene. From what I heard some of these ladies were not so perfect. Thank goodness they didn’t have the internet or magazines gossiping about their every move. The old socials had their feuds also, it’s just that no one reported it back then like we do today.

Party Favors: … Tinz and Olivia Think Idiotic Feud More Important Than Darfur Victims…
… Todays outlet for outrage comes courtesy of New York imbecil-ites Tinsley Mortimer and Olivia Palermo, whom Page Six says wouldn’t show up at a benefit for Darfur genocide victims after they found out the other was going to be there. Brooke Astor rolling in her grave, indeed.
Right up there with the Britney….
Olivia can’t be around much longer, her father is bankrupt. See nymag.com
