Last week, Anna Wintour and Graydon Carter hosted a book launch for Nicholas Coleridge, the equivalent of Si Newhouse at Condé Nast UK, at the Waverly Inn; his book A Much Married Man is being published on this side of the pond. (Nicholas’s grandfather, by five times, was the Romantic poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge, and his very father was chairman of Lloyd’s of London.)
Coleridge brought the incredibly elusive Ivana Lowell with him. Ivana is the daughter of Lady Caroline Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood, herself the daughter of the 4th Marquess of Dufferin and Ava and Maureen Guinness, the lifelong friend of Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother, and the step-daughter of Boston Brahmin Robert Lowell, the American poet; she is also the biological great-granddaughter of Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree, the founder of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Ivana’s half-brother Sheridan Lowell is a guest of the Upper East Side parties of Mark Gilbertson.
Literary ladies Marina Rust Connor, Plum Sykes, Jessica Joffe, and Alexis Bryan joined Rachel Roy, Zani Gugelmann, Tory Burch, and Olivia Chantecaille to represent fashionable society at the event, which also had the presence of Vogue models Hana Soupkova and Doutzen Kroes, who did a photospread with Lapo Elkann in its most recent issue. Zani and Alexis stuck together the whole night and met up with Rufus, Earl of Ablemarle to discuss literature at the bar, where Graydon Carter was holding house, and older socials Tory and Marina mixed and mingled with contributors James Wolcott, Jay Fielden, and Sally Singer to add to the Condé Nast office party jive.

tory burch is still stunning no matter what. that face is fresh and gorgeous and she has atleast 2 kids! she does something right.

Holly Peterson’s The Manny’s getting the promotional work-over with this socialite studded video.
Actress Karen Duffy stars as the mommy in distress, while Tinsley Mortimer, Carole Radziwell and Cristina Greeven Cuomo lend their voices to a sex-celebratory rap.
We’re not sure if the book’s any good, but this video’s fucking brilliantly fluffy, just like 42-year old Peterson’s subject: a male nanny bedding his charge’s mama. Plus, we think the manny in question, played by Johannes Huebl, could teach you a thing or two…

ok, for being a mom, like a legit mom with kids in actual middle school, tory burch looks pretty good. the fact that shes dating lance is hot – shes finally getting the outside of nyc press she so deserved.
marina’s dress is cute but that pose has got to go! not pretty.
alexis looks nice and zani sort of looks like a… young boy.
and OF COURSE hana and doutzen are hot! they ARE models after all.. the socials cant compare with them!
alexis and zani: lesbos much?? ive already heard the rumors about zani before but has she gotten alexis, too?
Hana is not just a model anymore. She got married to some guy who has some money, so she could reall climb the ol social ladder pretty fast. She is reportedly shy, but my god, talk about the pinancle of how a socialits is “supposed” to look. Tall, ultra lean, and blond hair and blue eyes. Many socialites spend tons of money they didn’t earn trying to look the way Hana looks when she rolls out of bead in the morning. Hana then hits a pilates class for 45 minutes and is done. She has complained in the past about the trouble she has putting on weight. She was one of the skinniest models going. Once she gets her feet under her, she could be the star of the new socials. And she is probably too polite to chase after photogs (and she was notoriously shy as a model). She may not be old money, but if Tins can be a socialite, why not Hana. Many of the old school greats married into money anyway.
As for Doutzen, head on comment above. She is one of the most gorgoeous models going, with a fantastic body, face, eyes, and hair. Not only that, but her L’oreal contract puts her in the big money league. That said, the curly hair doesn’t work. At all. Flat Iron honey, and you are the belle of the ball.
Not that I was there, but what do you bet the other socials avoided these two like the plague for fear of being photo’d with them. I said it earlier, for a guy that would be like standing between Pitt and Clooney. No one looks good there. If anyone was there, did any other social dare to venture between these pros?

Number 8, don’t talk like that that. I have to be able to focus enough to get through work today, and that image will be, ah, distracting to the extreme. I hate to lose an attrave women to the other team, but when the hook up is that hot, you have to give approval.
Just remember girls, DO NOT TAPE ANYTING.
