Tonight, Richard Gere and his wife Carey Lowell attended the New York premiere of his movie The Hoax at Cinema I. They were joined by, among others, designer Calvin Klein and actors Alfred Molina, Amber Tamblyn, and Stephen Colbert — but much of the buzz surrounded our socials Byrdie Bell and Olivia Palermo. This was Olivia’s first public appearance since the Oliviahate affair began. And what an ironic choice in that — but unlike Clifford Irving, whom The Hoax is about, Olivia isn’t pulling any kind of scam.
She is doing well and has hired People’s Revolution, the public relations firm, to manage the media during this pressing time. Her attorney is fully investigating the authorship of the letter, and in the Post today, her representative Kelly Cutrone explained the publishing of that letter best: “This is a whole new frontier of viciousness.” S.R. has yet to apologize to Olivia for printing their very own hoax on her.

I’m glad Olivia is sticking with Byrdie. She’s a solid, pretty, good girl whose young like herself. They look great together in photographs. Talk about the new Tinsley and Fabiola!

Olivia was at the Sotheby’s event with Maroon 5 on Friday as well I saw her there. Was not her first night out. She brushed the whole incident off with style

#27 Olivia is not an outcast. So something shitty happened to her. Who cares? She’s still incredibly pretty and young. The letter was made up because whoever did it could not find any other way to hurt her besides mentioning how she is the new girl, etc, etc. They could not say she is ugly, or dresses bad or wears fake tanner like Kristian or anything like that bc it’s not true. People may question whether she should really be called a socialite but I think we all know by now that socialites like Nan Kempner no longer exist. If you are rich, know how to dress, are pretty and know who to be friends with you can be a socialite. There really is nothing more to it and that is what all these new socialites are. And people should also stop being so suprised when they see Tinsley at all these different events and with different people or Fabiola pimping herself for Radar magazine because the days of the real socialies are long gone.

Nobody really cares what she says or does, she will only become the girl people ‘love to hate’, from the ‘backlack’. sameoldnonsense. Sorry but you are absolutely wrong. Olivia begs the girls to put her on committees. Some helped her at first. But, unfortunately, she suffers from the age-old problem of using people as stepping stones. She believed her own press and started acting arrogantly and pushy, as if she EXPECTED to be photographed and noticed like the more established girls. And this wasn’t enough. She then wrote the pathetic letter, which almost had her hand-written signature on it since she wrote exactly the way she talks. Now she tells people, and YES, Olivia herself is the one guilty of starting the Tinsley pushed me story, that Tinsley and now Tinsley’s sister Dabney are against her. Tinsley and Dabney are not rude to this girl. They simply have no interest in being friends with her. Olivia is so obvious, not cool, full of herself and a total lier. Why would Tinsley and Dabney want to be in the company of someone like this?
